Dementia and the Challenging Discharge: Challenges of Early-Onset Dementia - Foster City, CA

  • Atria Foster City Square 707 Thayer Lane Foster City, CA, 94404 United States (map)

Join us as Geriatrician Elizabeth Landsverk, M.D., presents a topic of interest to elder care professionals, particularly to Discharge Planners and Registered Nurses. Early dementia is often not diagnosed and can be very dangerous to the patient living at home. They may seem cognitively fine, but may have a great deal of difficulty with executive function which can lead to inability to provide self-care, or inability to understand actions and consequences which may make them vulnerable to fraud, scams and elder financial abuse. Professionals involved with evaluating patients discharging from a hospital, treating or caring for patients/clients who may have undiagnosed dementia will benefit most from the information presented.

Two complimentary CE’s for RNs will be issued. Certificates of Attendance for other professionals also provided.
