Elizabeth Landsverk, MD will be presenting a talk for the CALA (California Assisted Living Association) Conference on “Identifying and Addressing Mental Health Issues” in Palm Springs on November 6th.
Depression, anxiety, and chronic mental health issues such as addiction, bipolar disorders, and complex psychiatric diagnoses are on the rise. Skilled assessments, care planning, and employee training are key to providing appropriate care and increased quality of life for residents with these challenges. Education of residents and destigmatization are also essential. Left unidentified or unaddressed, unmet needs can result in negative outcomes for residents, as well as increased liability for providers. Learn clinical and practical strategies to identify and care plan for residents with mental health challenges, including those living with dementia, and to manage providers’ risk.
Tuesday November 6 (Conference is Nov 5-7)
Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel
